So much has happened this past week..... so like last year.... I will summarize our Christmas through pictures.... enjoy!
First, Santa came to visit our house since we would be traveling over the holidays.... he is so nice to consider this for us. ;) Zander got some mega blocks and Burke got an everlasting treat toy (which lasts about 15 minutes if you are curious!)
Zander is saying "please" for daddy to open the bag.On Saturday, we headed back home to see family and friends. We had the car loaded down! (And I had already brought all of our presents the week before while I was helping my dad after his back surgery!).... Zack and I are already realizing that our car might not be big enough for road trips in the future.... ahhhhh!
We celebrated with all the Cantrells on Sunday. Zander and Zack sported matching festive sweaters! All photographer credits go to Emma Claire... she does a great job taking pictures so I handed her the camera immediately!

This is what Zander looked like most of the day. :/ As you will recall from my previous post, he was quite sick leading up to the holiday weekend and stayed that way for most of the week. He was off his routine, not in his own bed, and feeling sick.... these are all the reasons I am using for why he was rather fussy and wanted mommy (or daddy) to be holding him most of the time. I am happy to say that our sweet boy seems to be returning to our household a little at a time!
Miss Ruby.... our newest family member (Grannie and GranDan's new dog)

I was able to visit one of my best friends and meet her newest addition.... Ryder!! Ashley now has three boys, and I think she is a saint! ;)
Grannie wanted to do a craft project with ink pads. Mommy had a little bit of a scare when the ink did not come off.... no matter what we tried or how we scrubbed! Fortunately, a good soak and scrub in the tub was all it took!
We visited the Houstons! PawPaw and Granny V got Zander a remote control school bus that has been a hit not only with Zander but the adults as well!
We made Christmas cookies with Grammy and Aunt Lindsey. Check out Zander's technique for putting on the sprinkles! Icing was all over the top of the sprinkles lid.
We went to the Candlelight Service at Zack's home church and came back to Grannie's house to open presents on Christmas Eve. Zander is officially a pro at opening his own gifts! He kept saying "more please" after each present.... we are working on being grateful for what you have.....haha!
Aunt A got him a hooded towel with his name on it!
He was worn out from all the presents he got.....so he just laid on the floor for awhile!
One of Zander's favorite things was to pull items out of a stocking this year..... he almost liked that more than opening presents! We celebrated Christmas morning at the Bakewell's.
Aunt Lindsey and Uncle Boomer gave Zander his very own (plastic) plate to eat from!
Grandma Nancy got an Ipad!
Just a comparison to last year (below)
Aunt Lindsey and Uncle BoomerWe ate Christmas lunch and opened presents at the Houstons. Zander loves playing with various items that PawPaw and Granny V have around their house.
Uncle Grant had Zander help him open presents.
Granny V entertains Zander by putting a Christmas bag over his head! Peekaboo!
We stopped at Grannie's house so we could open stockings. Zander wanted Aunt A to eat his veggie straws.
We ate Christmas dinner at the Bakewell's.
This morning before we headed back home, I was able to see one of my best friends and her one year old! Henry Lee is six months younger than Zander but these two are about the same height and size! I know they will be best buds! They did a great job giving hugs!
Chance supervises the boys playing.
Mommies and their boys!
