Happy Father's Day! :)

This week has been all things daddy as we anticipated Father's Day!  I am in the final stretch at work and have about one more week before summer officially starts for me and my boys.  Zack took the boys to preschool on Friday and enjoyed "Donuts with Dad" before dropping the kids off in their classes and heading to work.  I loved having Zack at home that morning..... it showed me how much easier the mornings would be for me if he was around as we got ready and headed out the door.  He is always gone for work before the boys wake up which makes mornings very challenging.  It was so great having him around a couple more hours that morning!
Maddox and Zander gave Zack sweet homemade presents while he was at the preschool. :)

On Saturday, we had to spend the morning getting both our cars inspected and some additional maintenance for the truck.  While we were waiting for Zack's truck to get finished up, we fit in some time at the local park!  The boys always love time with their daddy!

In honor of Father's Day.... I had to include some of my favorite pictures of my three boys! :)
I took Grandma to go visit Grandpa this weekend, making sure to deliver a cheeseburger, fries and strawberry shake!  It was great seeing them both this holiday weekend!
Saturday night, we went to a baseball game with friends.  The boys had a great time and we even got a group picture!  The most humorous part of the evening was that I ran after a foul ball so that Zander could have his wish of getting a baseball at the ball game!  He even had his glove with him in hopes of grabbing a ball!  I basically jogged out of my place in line (waiting for a sweet treat for the boys) and grabbed the ball as it was bouncing on the concrete!  Zander is super excited, and he keeps telling how mommy got him a baseball.  Maybe I earned the title of "mom of the year"?! :)

Here is a picture of the boys after church on Father's Day (below)..... notice Zander is still carrying his baseball everywhere he goes! Haha
Finally, I helped deliver the Kennedys to the airport for their next adventure.  This was Emmy's first time in a forward facing car seat and she loved it! :)

Outdoor Fun!

We finished out the end of a great t-ball season with Zander's team last weekend.  On Saturday, we went to a local park for some fun at the playground, a water balloon fight and cookout.  A special thanks to Zack for taking point on the grill! I guess when you are married to the "team mom" you get drafted to cook all the hot dogs for your son's team and their families!  I rented one of the shelters for the morning and the weather was perfect for some outdoor fun!  After the picnic, we headed to the ball park for one final game!  The players got to be on a bigger field for this game and they even had their names called over the loud speaker when they were up to bat!  I hope we will continue to do little league in the future!  We had a blast and can't wait for Maddox to join the fun as well when he is a little older!

On Sunday morning, I tried to snap a quick picture of the cousins matching in their green and white.  Maddox really wanted to hold Emmy's hand and she wasn't as interested in this concept!
On Sunday afternoon, we joined Zander's team for one final outing!  We went to our local minor league baseball field to watch some baseball players in action!  The boys did great throughout the whole game!  I can't wait for all the fun we will have in the future at the ball park!
Both boys got summer "buzz cuts" by daddy this past week!  Zack knocked out the hair cuts rather quickly and the boys are loving how much cooler they feel (temperature wise).  They got chocolate milk for being so cooperative! #milkmustaches
Today we went for a hike with our best friends, the Whites.  We loved seeing waterfalls and being outdoors!  Our family loves being outside and exploring.  The boys enjoyed climbing, throwing rocks and carrying sticks... what more could you ask for?! :)

A Train Ride and a Graduation!

I took the boys to the NC Transportation Museum on Monday since we were off of school and work for Memorial Day.  So while daddy was working, we were able to ride on a real train and explore other modes of transportation.  It has gotten me so excited about the upcoming summer and the time I will get to spend with my boys!  The boys did great!  We were able to avoid the rainy day as much as possible since most of the exhibits were inside.  I will say one humorous thing happened toward the end.  Both boys decided they needed to poop at the exact same time!  So since both are potty-trained, we searched for the closest restroom (which fortunately had multiple stalls) and I was able to stay in the stall with Maddox while big brother took care of business right next door!  Parenting is always an adventure!

The week has been slightly crazy.... we have five days in a row of tee ball along with a very hectic work week for mommy and daddy.  The boys had to eat dinner in the car one night..... and for those of you that know me well.... you know this was hard for me!  I occasionally let the boys have snacks in the car (ones that typically don't make a huge mess) but on this evening, I was shoving fries, chicken, fruit pouches, etc to them as they finished each item to ensure that dinner was complete by the time we got to the ball field!  Fortunately next week has a little bit lighter schedule.  Sadly, Zander's last game of the season is tomorrow.  While I will look forward to a little slower pace to my evenings, I am going to miss cheering on #21!  The highlight of this week's games was that one night while Zander was in the position of pitcher, he CAUGHT a ball that was hit!  Both sides went crazy because as you can imagine neither team had seen this happen yet in t-ball!  The batter's dad just happened to be filming his son at bat, and he was able to capture the whole thing on video! I will never forget the shocked/surprised look on Zander's face when he turned around to show the crowd that the ball was in his glove!
Emmy watching her favorite ball player on first base!
One of the biggest milestones this week was that Zander finished Pre-K!  And while I still have a few weeks left of school and he has a few weeks left of preschool, he had his graduation this afternoon!  We had to document the occasion with lots of pictures!

Maddox wanted to get in the picture action before school this morning!
 My Pre-K graduate!

Zander is the second student from the left.

I love that he looks like he is celebrating as we walks across the stage like most high school graduates would do!
Mrs. Veigh, Zander's teacher, has been simply amazing this year! He knows so much about God and the bible.  He also knows so much about reading words, writing letters, counting, etc!  I am already hoping (and praying) that Maddox can have her in two years!

Zander had some additional family members to cheer him on as well!  We are so lucky he is loved by so many! :)

Kindergarten here we come..........
