Last weekend, we made our annual trek to Winston Salem to see Santa. Over the last few years, these cousins (and Grammy and Grandpa) have enjoyed chatting with Santa and getting some festive pictures taken. We are almost to the point where all four children willingly go see Santa.... come on Eli..... you can do it! haha Zander is asking Santa for "ways to help people in the hospital" and Maddox is asking for Pokemon cards.... stay tuned! ;)
Our office elf arrived again this past week.... you never know where you will find "Jingle Bell"... first name "Jingle" last name "Bell". Maddox affectionately named the elf he got at the Christmas parade last year! This elf has been hanging from my ceiling, my clock, in my reading bin and who knows where else until Christmas break!
My boy cuddling with me during rehearsal for our church's Christmas program. He has one of the main parts in next week's children's program... he is the Mayor of Snowflake County! Many lines to memorize and stage fright to overcome but I think our boy is ready! We have 60 to 70 kids that participate each year and our fifth graders have the speaking parts!
Here are pictures from Dress Rehearsal!
We got to see Santa one more time this past week at the Winter Wonderlights! The date was picked this summer for the Kennedy/Bakewell/Houston crew to enjoy a Christmas outing as our family celebration! We've previously enjoyed Disney on Ice and the Polar Express, and I love this yearly tradition. I was sad that my sister was under the weather (in a bad way) and couldn't join us. The rest of our crew made the best of it and frolicked through the light-clad science center, seeing Santa, skating with our socks, enjoying hot chocolate and taking in all the sights that a winter wonderland has to offer!
