We traveled "back home" for the weekend while daddy worked on many projects around the house (ex: pressure washing the driveway, starting to paint the fence, carpet cleaning our living room, etc). It was so wonderful seeing family and friends! Here are some pictures from our recent adventures....
First stop: Hanging out with the Stephens/Gregory family! Zander and Henry are about 6 months apart in age and Ginny is getting ready to have #2 at the end of June (making Maddox and baby about 8 months apart in age!) It is so special to have our kids hang out together and to see Ginny's family as well! It felt like home to get hugs from members of the Stephens family!
Next Stop: Jacob's Third Birthday Party! Talk about another family reunion! First of all, Liz and I think it is crazy that our firstborns are three weeks apart and their younger siblings are two weeks apart. You can't plan that! It has been so much fun to see the friendship develop between the boys over the years. Zander was very excited to be going to Jacob's party and talked about it a lot! It was so fun spending the day with the Guier and Baden families. As you can see..... we have our hands full with our little ones! ;)
Sleeping Arrangements: We stayed at Grannie's house for the weekend. Zander stayed in a big boy bed (with railings and no accidents!) Maddox stayed in the pack-n-play and mommy had a bed all to herself! Zander loved helping Grannie water her flowers (and her toes and the gravel!).
Liz discovered that Maddox had his first tooth pop through on Saturday morning. I greeted her at the birthday party and she said "Oh, Maddox has a tooth!".... and I said "Really?!" haha I had to make sure I documented his first tooth since I didn't notice it immediately. I am kinda sad to say goodbye to that precious gummy grin! Maddox is also starting to pull up to a standing position in the walker and has gotten on his knees a couple times from his belly..... I don't know if crawling is coming soon but he sure is on the move!
Final Stop: We got to spend the morning with Granny V, Paw Paw and Uncle Grant. They entertained Zander with any vehicle that moves and gave both boys extra snuggles this morning.
I had to document that Zander and I decided to sport our 49er gear today in honor of Daddy's college!
