Our Spring Break 2017!

We have had an incredibly busy and fun spring break!! I wanted to plan daily activities with my boys so we could look forward to an outing every day and I think I succeeded!  I have absolutely loved being a mom every minute of this week and am already sad thinking about heading back to work on Monday!  This post has a lot of pictures and I think it will have few words!  Here is what we did for our week....
Saturday: Went to Emily and Daniel's Wedding (I got to snuggle with Emmy!)
Sunday: Emerson Leigh Kennedy was dedicated at our church.  That evening we planted some vegetables in our garden.
Monday:  We had a play date at the park with the Williams family.  That night, Linds and I took Grammy out to dinner and shopping for her birthday! We had so much fun just us girls!
Tuesday:  We had some work done on our air/heating units so we stayed in our pajamas and took Spring Break Selfies!  We also enjoyed the beautiful weather and spent time outdoors.
Wednesday:  I had some work done on my car so we loaded up the three kids (Emmy included) and took them to the science center for the day in Grammy's car.  We were able to meet Aunt Lindsey for lunch too!
Thursday: Zack took the day off from work and we went to the zoo! (Zander's favorite animal at this point is the zebra and Maddox loved any time an animal would move (he would say "ooooo") or when he could be out of the stroller and walking around!)
Friday: We dyed Easter eggs at Grammy's house after Aunt Lindsey and I fit in a 10 mile run (in preparation for a half marathon coming up in less than a month!)

Tomorrow we have an Easter egg hunt at a local church and Sunday we will be celebrating Easter and Aunt Lindsey's birthday!

Springtime fun!

The weather has been incredible this past week and Zander has asked to go outside every day! Today we had our Sunday School class's Easter egg hunt and cookout after church.  We were able to enjoy each other's company and soak up the beautiful weather God provided for the day!  I took some pictures beforehand because you never know if outfits will make it through the church service!! These are actually the shirts I bought the boys to match for Easter Sunday and figured we could get more than one use out of them!  After all... they were having an "Easter" egg hunt so it seemed appropriate to put the boys in their matching outfits!

We saw Aunt Lindsey, Uncle Boomer and Emerson at church and I just couldn't get over how cute my niece is in her dress and matching tights!  She is the cutest little girl ever! ;) I couldn't get a smile this morning but I did get to cuddle with her during the worship music.  I love being able to sit with my family during the service.  It is so special!
After church, we headed to a local park to grill out and hunt for some Easter eggs!  The boys loved being outside and around other kids that are in their own Sunday school classes!  It was so cute to see kids run over to Zander and call him by name.  They would run off together to play on the playground or the open field.  I can't wait to see these friendships develop further as they get older.

I wanted to include a few other pictures from our weekend.  Saturday morning was pretty leisurely..... I tried to get a few pictures of all my boys being lazy!

We went to dinner last night with some of our very best friends!  They are having a 2nd little one in September.  They are already pros at watching over two or three... they love on our boys like they are their own!

Laid Back Weekend

We had the BEST weekend!  Last Saturday, we had a day with NO plans and it was pretty fantastic!  Zack and I took the kids to a local park and spent a couple hours just enjoying the playground equipment and open land to run and explore.  I know there are WAY too many pictures from our time at the playground but I wanted to document all the fun we had while just enjoying being kids (and the parents of these sweet boys!)

When we got home, we had to work on a few chores.... one of them being vacuuming out my car.... both boys wanted to help and I can only hope they want to continue with these cleaning sprees as they get older and make bigger messes!
Who doesn't love a cute baby in a tub?!  I had to include these of course!  The first one is Zander and the second picture is Maddox!  Daddy truly does the best with bath time!

On Sunday, Grannie and GranDan came to visit us for Daddy's birthday.  We had a lot of fun!

And a few more pictures from our week.... spaghetti night is always a night when the boys eat dinner in their underwear or diaper!

Zander started soccer a couple weeks ago at school and got his first soccer jersey!  He wants to wear it EVERY day! I have "convinced" him that he wears it on the day of his practices (rather than 7 days a week!)
Finally, I got to see Beauty and the Beast with the ones I saw the original with!  It was fantastic and it was so much fun going to the movies with my parents and sister (like old times) and we even got popcorn and drinks (something that we didn't do every time when we were younger!)  The whole evening was a special treat!
