Happy 7 Months Maddox!

Our little Mad Man has been sick all week... major congestion with a little fussiness!  He still hasn't mastered the whole sleeping through the night thing although he gives us a few nights here and there sprinkled in.  Maddox has one tooth coming in at this point.  He is in size 3 (size 4 overnight) diapers and wears 12 month clothes.  He smiles all the time.... even when he is sick!  I managed to get a couple pictures prior to him covering himself, the couch and mommy with vomit the morning he turned 7 months old.  The congestion is making it difficult to keep milk down.  We are hoping we are on the mend.  Maddox we love you so much and are so grateful you are in our family!

A Fun Week!

I have been blessed to see three of my best friends in the last two weeks that live hours away from me.  I posted pictures of our visit with Ginny and Liz in the last post and I am including pictures of Lindsey A. in this one!  She came to visit one afternoon this week and the boys loved it! Zander kept asking "Miss Lindsey" to play with all of his toys with him.  She lives in Texas now so I treasure any time we are able to spend together!  I am also including pictures from a couple firsts this week..... Zander's first trip to the dentist (He did great! He was able to play with toys and wear cool sunglasses because of the light of course!)....and Maddox's first time in the bathtub without the mesh insert.  He is sitting up so well now...and has started to lean over to assume the crawling position.  I will definitely let you know when movement happens!

We went to the science center on Saturday with the Whites... we had a blast!  We got an annual membership so I see many visits in our future.... especially this summer!

Fun times with family and friends!

We traveled "back home" for the weekend while daddy worked on many projects around the house (ex: pressure washing the driveway, starting to paint the fence, carpet cleaning our living room, etc).  It was so wonderful seeing family and friends!  Here are some pictures from our recent adventures....

First stop:  Hanging out with the Stephens/Gregory family!  Zander and Henry are about 6 months apart in age and Ginny is getting ready to have #2 at the end of June (making Maddox and baby about 8 months apart in age!)  It is so special to have our kids hang out together and to see Ginny's family as well!  It felt like home to get hugs from members of the Stephens family!

Next Stop:  Jacob's Third Birthday Party!  Talk about another family reunion!  First of all, Liz and I think it is crazy that our firstborns are three weeks apart and their younger siblings are two weeks apart.  You can't plan that! It has been so much fun to see the friendship develop between the boys over the years.  Zander was very excited to be going to Jacob's party and talked about it a lot!  It was so fun spending the day with the Guier and Baden families.  As you can see..... we have our hands full with our little ones! ;)

Sleeping Arrangements:  We stayed at Grannie's house for the weekend. Zander stayed in a big boy bed (with railings and no accidents!)  Maddox stayed in the pack-n-play and mommy had a bed all to herself!  Zander loved helping Grannie water her flowers (and her toes and the gravel!).
Liz discovered that Maddox had his first tooth pop through on Saturday morning.  I greeted her at the birthday party and she said "Oh, Maddox has a tooth!".... and I said "Really?!" haha  I had to make sure I documented his first tooth since I didn't notice it immediately.  I am kinda sad to say goodbye to that precious gummy grin!  Maddox is also starting to pull up to a standing position in the walker and has gotten on his knees a couple times from his belly..... I don't know if crawling is coming soon but he sure is on the move!

Final Stop:  We got to spend the morning with Granny V, Paw Paw and Uncle Grant.  They entertained Zander with any vehicle that moves and gave both boys extra snuggles this morning.

I had to document that Zander and I decided to sport our 49er gear today in honor of Daddy's college!

Happy Mother's Day!

Simply put.... I am blessed... enjoy some pictures of my sweet boys! :)

Also... an update on our week.... Zander went roller skating for the first time at my school's skate night (one of my fourth graders even helped him get more comfortable on wheels!).  Daddy and Zander do the same thing when the camera comes out....look the other way! ;)  We enjoyed our town's Spring Folly and Maddox started using a high chair when we go out to eat!  My boys are getting so big!
