The Three Musketeers!

Grammy had one more week with our boys and Emerson joined the fun!  All three will be riding with me to school this upcoming year so I can't wait to watch the adventures continue for these three musketeers.  The kids enjoyed the pool multiple days, went to a few parks, enjoyed putt putt with Grandpa and went to check out the paddle boats.  I think they all had a great week and Grammy deserves a lot of rest this weekend!

Also, this past weekend the boys went to a friend's birthday party at a ninja warrior gym!  They had a blast participating in all the obstacles on the courses!

We went to our town's honeybee festival on Saturday.  We loved walking around visiting the different vendors, grabbing free stuff and getting yummy food at the food trucks that were set up.
On Sunday, we went to meet up with Zack's college best friends.  After 21 years of friendship, it is so much fun to watch them hanging out together and entertaining our boys for the day! It was such a relaxing day with some wonderful people!  It is still crazy to think about the guys I met about 18 years ago when Zack and I started dating and now to watch all of them as adults!  I am so thankful for Zack's friends.  They are the best!
We got back to school haircuts this week.... mommy included! ;)
We had open house on Thursday evening.  Since mommy has to work this event, the boys came by earlier in the day to "meet" their teachers.  Zander will have Mrs. Flowers for 4th grade and Maddox will have Mrs. Pulliam for 1st grade.  They are both going to have the best year with these two incredible teachers!
Open House was a blast from start to finish... I love the people I work with and even got to see my new favorite Panther as she gets ready for kindergarten! :)

Summer Break Continues for the Boys!

While mommy has been at work, the boys have enjoyed time with Grannie, GranDan, Grammy and Grandpa!  Since I have almost three weeks of workdays before school officially starts for the boys, the grandparents have offered to entertain the kids and give them additional summer memories before we head back to school!  Here is what we have been up to the last two weeks....We have one more week until we officially have a 1st grader and 4th grader!

The boys spent three nights at Grannie's house the first week.  They went swimming, walking, playing on the playground and splash pad and to a local climbing gym.

While the boys were having a blast, we had two nights of no parental responsibilities.  Zack and I were finally able to celebrate our anniversary by eating dinner at Mozelle's.  I came home to flowers one afternoon! :)

I went to dinner with friends on the other night while Zack went to a local minor league baseball game with his co-workers and customers.
When the boys haven't been with their grandparents, I have taken them to play tennis, and the four of us went to the YMCA pool.  This was Zack's first (and probably only) visit of the summer but the boys loved watching him go down the water slides and seeing how fast he could run through the lily pads!
Maddox is learning so much!  He wrote me this note all by himself one morning while I was getting ready!
For the second week, the boys spent time with Grammy and Grandpa.  Aunt Lindsey and Emerson joined in for two of the days of fun (to the movies and the pool).  The boys also went to the driving range, a local children's museum and a few local playgrounds.  They are living their best summer break life! I am so thankful for having family close by that can help love on our boys while we are working!

Summer Break 2022: Week Seven

Mommy heads back to work this week which means that this post will be my last summer break entry for 2022!  The summer always goes by so fast and I'm always sad when it is over.  We had the best summer with incredible trips to Grand Tetons, Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, Atlanta, Kathleen and Ocean Isle Beach!  I really can't complain when I think about all that we have fit within the last seven weeks!  We have had so many great experiences and enjoyed some leisurely days at home as well.  Here are some pictures from our last week!
We went to the science center with the Kennedys!

Maddox got his championship ring from his 16-0 baseball season!  Grandpa took him to get ice cream afterwards to celebrate.
We spent most of our last seven days at home..... the boys and I tested positive for Covid. 2.5 years was a good run of avoiding it for sure!  Fortunately, their symptoms were minimal.  Z only had congestion and M only had a cough.  Mommy had the worst of it with a fever, chills, aches, headaches, congestion, etc.  While it wasn't ideal for our last week of summer and many cancelled plans later, I am thankful that it wasn't worse, and we were able to make the most of our last days of summer.
Today, we enjoyed an outdoor activity.  We went to the Wyndham Championship.  I always love this event and it was so much fun to spend the day with my favorite guys!  The boys are already counting down for Grandpa to take them out on a golf course, a driving range and a putt putt course!  Grammy and Grandpa will have a lot to fit in while I am at work before they officially start back to school!
