Welcome to the Family Eli Daniel Kennedy! :)

Before I introduce a new little man in my life, the Houstons did decorate for Christmas last weekend!!  With Thanksgiving a little later this year, I was ready to start celebrating the upcoming holidays! I love having the tree on each morning as we get ready and in the evenings while we eat dinner.  Both boys helped decorate this year.  They had a blast and wore me out!  It was a team effort to bring Christmas to the Houston Household!  Daddy even went ahead and put lights on the tree in our front yard!

Zack and I had a day date on Saturday afternoon thanks to Grammy! We went to the shooting range and then ate a quick dinner at Wendys!  I'm a cheap date! ;)
On Sunday evening, I got a call from Uncle Boomer that Aunt Lindsey might be in labor.  We were at church at the time so we decided to come get Emerson before bedtime so she could have a sleepover with her cousins.  She quickly joined the boys for some cuddle time before bed!  I was on the phone with Aunt Lindsey until about 9:45 p.m., just talking through contractions which were about seven minutes apart at the time.  We got off the phone (me thinking it would be several hours before they headed to the hospital).  Little did we know that my new nephew would arrive at 12:30 a.m..... about 2.5 hours after I talked to her!  It was a quick delivery and I was able to FaceTime with my new nephew around 2:00 a.m.!  I definitely didn't sleep at all that night due to all the excitement!

Emerson stayed with us for two nights, and I quickly realized that mornings solo with three kiddos are no joke! We had fun but it was pretty busy! I sent this picture below to Linds on Sunday evening to show we were ready to bring on the work week!
The first picture I received of Eli Daniel Kennedy.... taken about 45 minutes after he arrived!  Doesn't my sister look amazing!?
The ride to school with all three munchkins!
I left around lunchtime on Monday to pick up Emerson so the two of us could pick out an outfit for Eli to wear coming home from the hospital.  I was able to pick the outfit Linds came home in 33 years ago so it only seemed fitting that I help the next generation of a "big sister" pick out her sibling's coming home outfit!  She picked the outfit in her right hand for him to wear home!
Then, we met up with Grammy and Grandpa and headed to meet Eli.

It is safe to say that I have a new little love in my life!! Zander and Maddox have another boy to rough house around with ...... there will never be a dull moment with these cousins!

More Birthday Fun!

Our pup celebrated his 10th birthday on Sunday!  We can't believe he has been with us for almost a decade!  We got him in January when he was only a couple months old!  Zander picked out a ball to play fetch with him, and Burke got his annual puppy sample from the frozen yogurt place, Zack's Treats!  I think he had a great birthday!
We also celebrated Emerson's 3rd birthday on Sunday.  Here are some cute pictures of our celebrations.  Em wasn't a fan of being told "no" to blowing out the candles before we finished singing.   The video from this will be coming back out when she is older!  It might have been her party and she was going to cry if she wanted to! haha

I had a follow up appointment at the ENT on Monday.  Thanks to Grammy, the boys got to play at a park and have a picnic lunch while I was waiting at the doctor's office!  Monday was also Grannie's birthday.  We didn't get to celebrate together since we are waiting for Baby Kennedy to arrive and I am on "Emmy Duty" when Linds and Boom head to the hospital..... it should be any day now!

Here are some cute pictures of the boys in the fall leaves!  It got frigidly cold the day after these pictures were taken so I think we had about four days of fall this year! haha

Burke's mood this morning shows that we are all tired and looking forward to the weekend!! Hoping for some extra cuddles on the couch with my boys since its supposed to be cold and rainy!

Hanging Rock Hike!

My boys love being outside!!  We had the best day hiking to the top of Hanging Rock and seeing all the fall leaves!  The boys loved exploring, and we enjoyed a picnic lunch before heading back home.  Enjoy some pictures of our family fun day!

Happy Halloween 2019!

Before I discuss Halloween.... Maddox got his own golf bag and clubs from Grammy and Grandpa for his birthday and he is pretty excited about going on the golf course with Grandpa and Zander in the future!
We also found time on Maddox's birthday to carve our annual pumpkin!  Zander designed the face. ;)
On Sunday, I attended Angie's son's wedding with my office staff.  We had so much fun and the location was beautiful! While I was at the wedding and Zack was working through inventory at his store, Grammy and Grandpa met up with the Kennedys at our church's Fall Fest!  The kids had a great time, and I loved getting pictures of the cousins while I was at the wedding!

I had workdays on Monday and Tuesday so Zander got to spend some additional time with Grammy and Grandpa! They even put him to work mowing the grass!  He earned two WHOLE QUARTERS!  He was super excited to get paid for his hard work! ;)

Just as a throwback photo.... here is Halloween four years ago when Maddox came two weeks early and caught me (and my pumpkin smuggler Halloween-themed shirt) off guard! I wasn't prepared to celebrate Halloween with a newborn so he didn't rock a costume until the following year.
Grammy and I got to help out with Z's fall party on Halloween.  We played Bingo, made a festive trail mix and decorated cookies!
The traditional office staff picture in our matching shirts! ;)

The weather didn't cooperate on Halloween to trick or treat so we opted for a visit at the fire station where one of my friends works.  The boys loved climbing in the truck and Maddox definitely looked the part since he was dressed as a fire fighter for Halloween!  We are hoping to trick or treat tonight around the neighborhood since our neighborhood agreed to postpone the festivities, opting for safer (less thunderstorm-like) weather!

This picture below cracks me up! We love our neighbors, Doug and Judy! They dressed as a witch (Judy) and a woman (that is Doug with the red wig!) They spoil our boys rotten, and our boys love running across the yard to see them after school!
