Summer Break 2022: Week Three

This week was a little more laid back than the first two weeks of summer.  No major road trips occurred which means we stayed in town for most of the week!  We spent the day on Tuesday with Grammy and Grandpa.  Burke enjoyed coming with us to his grandparents' house!  He always loves hanging out on the top of their couches! haha

On Wednesday, we went to the local children's museum with Emerson and Eli.  They had such a great time and it was fun to watch them playing together... cousins are the best!
On Thursday, we stayed home while Zack's car had some routine maintenance completed.  While I busted out approximately 6 loads of laundry in a 24 hour period (getting all the sheets, blankets, etc. clean), the boys managed to decorate our living room with nerf darts.  We did go outside briefly in the morning to try out our new neighborhood playground and take Burke for a walk but it was a hot day so we opted for indoor fun for most of the afternoon!
We went to the pool on Friday (with the Williams) and Saturday (by ourselves).  Maddox got the coveted "green band" by completing the swim test!  He had to swim freestyle, tread water for 30 seconds and swim the backstroke all without touching or taking a break!  At the beginning of the summer, his stamina was not there.  He knocked it out easily this week!  He is so excited he can join his brother and their friends on the water slides now!

On Sunday, we headed to Burlington after church to see the local baseball team.  We celebrated one of our friend's 40th birthdays and all of the boys were excited to get baseballs signed by the players and run the bases after the game was over!  It was a fun way to end the weekend!
