Milestone Checkups

Maddox turned 18 months old this past week.  It is so fun that our boys have birthdays exactly two and a half years apart!  We have a spring baby and a fall baby.  Due to the proximity of these milestone ages, I got to go to the doctor with both of them on the same day! (Lucky me!)  Maddox didn't have to get any shots but Zander got two.  Zander won't need anymore shots until age 11 so he is ready for kindergarten (although Mommy is glad we still have one more year before that!).  Zander didn't cry at all and I have been noticing lately how much more "mature" he is becoming.  There haven't been any major emotional swings and he continues to be a huge help around the house especially with his younger brother.  We've tried to enjoy the weather and be outside as much as possible this past week.

For comparison sake.... Zander was 31 lbs and 39 inches tall at his 4 year checkup.  Maddox was 32 inches tall and 25 lbs 7 oz at his 18 month checkup.  Zander also had a hearing/vision test that he passed! (Whoohoo!)

Maddox "flirting" with a little girl while we are out to eat!
Zander and Mommy went on a "date" at my school for a movie night.  We saw "Moana". It was so much fun!

We headed south to visit Aunt A and Uncle Jay to celebrate the upcoming arrival of our nephew.  This was a kid free night (since it is a 5 hour drive one way and the adults travel better in the car at this point!)  I got a frappe on the way there and back! It truly felt like a mini vacation.

Grammy and Grandpa "held down the fort" with our three boys (Burke included).  They went to a softball game on Sunday where Grandpa did a devotional between games for the teams.  We would be lost without their help!
Since I had a date night with Zander on Friday.  Maddox and I spent time together on Sunday while Zander was at Cubbies (for Awana).  We enjoyed the simple things like rolling around on the floor and taking selfies with our tongues sticking out!  We missed our boys a lot! (even if we were only gone 24 hours!)
