Summer Break: Week 6

Well... this concludes my summer break with Zander.  I am so sad that our summer is over and I will be heading back to work on Monday.  We have had such a great time and I know the next "break" we have will be shared with an adorable newborn!  I think Zander and I have truly enjoyed the mommy-son time we were blessed to have.  Here are some pictures from our final week of fun!
frozen yogurt on mommy and daddy's anniversary

making cookies using cookie cutters (just like Christmas!)

Except....mommy didn't make the dough from scratch and opted for Betty Crocker's recipe.....it turned out better when we kept their circular shape and added sugar on top! (lesson learned!)

waiting for the cookies to bake

watching some morning TV since mommy didn't get dressed before Z woke up this day!  (He moved the pillow like that!)

kisses and "selfies"

Zander requested the "fish face" for this one!

Day at the Children's Museum

To my oldest boy, Zander:
I have truly enjoyed our summer together.  We started the first day of our "break" with some potty training!  That day you went through approximately 18 pairs of underwear (not exaggerating!).  Since then, you rarely have an accident and love when I sing the "pee pee in the potty" song.  I hope you will continue to do just as well back at "school" next week.  Remember peeing in the bed is "yucky" as you say!  My favorite times of the day are waking you up in the morning and you trying to hide underneath your blanket.  You have the biggest smile and are always ready to start the day! I love that you want to go "swimmin'" every day, and you are trying to play with your brother Burke more.  You have been so patient on the days that mommy hasn't felt well (yes I have still had some morning sickness....thank you "Thunderbird").  You constantly request pizza, a sandwich or chicken and fries for lunch.  Although you rarely get the requested meal..... you are always optimistic that it might be on the menu!  I loved going to the movies with you and getting a popcorn and drink to share.  I loved that you would sit in my lap and watch the movie (only having me cover your eyes during the "scary" parts.... thank you fire-breathing dragons!)  Your vocabulary amazes me at this point..... since I didn't know when you were actually going to put words together to make sentences.... just yesterday you said your cereal bar was "delicious" (and the word was as clear as could be!)  Thank you for all the fun times we have shared this summer!! I know each year will just get better from here!  I love you!
Mommy ;)
